Under the direction of the estate’s founder, Roberto Drighi, vineyards and olive groves have been cultivated since 1960. The construction of a wine cellar and olive mill allow for the production of our quality wines and extra virgin olive oil.
In the early 1980s, thanks to the far-sighted ideas of Laura Drighi, one of Roberto's daughters, the wine estate converted its cultivation according to the method of organic farming.
In 1985 our products were organically certified, followed by the regulation of the European Union in 1991.
In 1985, along with our agricultural activities, we began restoring the four old farmhouses into apartments and rooms, including two swimming pools and a restaurant. Our agriturismo offers peace and pleasure in beautiful, green surroundings. Guided visits through the estate’s vineyards and winemaking cellar allow our guests to discover the countryside and to personally witness the wine production.
Neri Gazulli, Roberto Drighi’s grandson, is San Vito’s current manager and enthusiastic practitioner of organic agriculture, striving for sustainability and biological diversity. He continues the projects began years ago, ensuring the high quality of the San Vito wines and olive oil, the protection of the local environment, and the estate’s warm hospitality.
